Exploring the Highland Dance
Highland dance, a captivating and elegant national dance form, is a blend of strength and grace. This traditional Scottish dance is an enchanting display of artistry set to both traditional and modern Scottish music. At Ann Roberts School of Dance, we embrace this beautiful dance form, teaching the NDAA (National Dancing Association of Australia) syllabus for Scottish, Lesser Known and Jig/Hornpipe examinations. Our Highland dance classes introduce dancers to the authentic style and techniques of this cherished dance form. Students have the opportunity to register for recognised SOBHD (Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing) competitions, which follow a progressive levels system, commencing with the Primary level.
